Our family business started focusing our services to making homes accessible back in 1994 after witnessing firsthand the effects of a physical disability on family members and their caregivers. Going to work every day to make a a living is a necessity – but when you know you are making life better for someone else – your payback is more than paycheck – it’s the greater satisfaction of helping others. As we became well known for our work and expertise – accessibility quickly became all we do and we added our “dba” Accessible Solutions to our corporate name. We are now better known as just Accessible Solutions – as that is what we do. We create, we design, we provide Accessible Solutions for our clients. Whether they are dealing with a disability, an injury, getting a little older, or planning ahead to make their home their “forever home” by remodeling with “aging in place” in mind. We are also CAPS certified which means we are certified Aging in Place Specialists.
We found Bestbath back in 1994 and we were so thrilled to offer our clients the BEST bathing products on the market. Other “copy cat” companies have tried to copy their design, but their replicas just don’t match Bestbath’s superior construction. In addition, what makes them so special is that they too started as a family business and started focusing on accessibility due to a family member dealing with disabilities. Even though they had been manufacturing composite showers for years, they created a design for the owner’s mom who needed safe accessible bathing. When that was so successful, they knew they had to offer it to other families dealing with similar situations.
Now 30 years later, Bestbath is still taking the lead in safe accessible bathing products which are not just accessible , but beautiful and have the best warranty you will ever find. They are also unique in that they are adaptable. We just LOVE that feature. You can have what looks like a small curbed shower now with their special adapter, but when needs change – you can have an accessible barrier free shower in minutes. Conversely, if you need an accessible shower now, but concerned about future resale, bring in their special adapter to quickly pop on with silicone over the water stopper – and you are passing along to future owners of your home something they can also use if they ever face a lifechanging event. What a wonderful concept!
